The majority of people can’t imagine living without music. The chosen ones devote whole life to it. Having started 10 years back with a classic vinyl dj’ing Pavel DJ Skafelnikof quickly learned how to plunge club floors into the dancing spirit.
In recent few years compact discs replaced the vinyl and nowadays the former are also disappearing being replaced by the professional DJ-controllers. This progress is well known by DJ Skafelnikof who can easily manipulate any of the said music gear in many clubs allover Germany. He was welcomed and seen off by ovations from the dance floors in Hamburg (night clubs – Orangesky, Reverence, Ice Peak, Edelfettwerk, Evento), they greeted him heartily in other cities, like Hannover (Infinity night club), Bremen (Starlight night club), Melle (Grand Club SFERA), Lüneburg (T2 club). Each Saturday it is quite hot at Reeperbahn, Hamburg due to his resident sets there since 2010 at “t2”. And the real HEAT is evidenced by more than thousand people which come every year to huge open-airs organized by him under the same name ZHARA (which means “heat” in Russian).
DJ Skafelnikof’s skill to light up the crowd is highly valued by promoters and art-directors. Therefore he was invited to warm up the public at stage performances of well-known band like Mumiy Troll, Brooklin Bounce, Quest Pistols and rapper Timati.
So it was quite a logical move of one of the leading Russian radio stations in Germany – Crem.FM – to invite him as the resident of its broadcasting. Since Spring 2010 his radio-show called Reanimation is on air in. In his weekly prime-time live-mixes DJ Skafelnikof presents only the best and most modern remixes on the previous years’ hits.
DJ Skafelnikof is not only playing & mixing music but produces it as well. Thanks to his sound engineering background and huge DJ’ing experience he was able to produce several successful tracks and remixes. Just to mention Skafelnikof’s remix on Modjo – Lady which is rotated by several radio stations, received support of many DJs globally and was included in a number of dance compilations.
These achievements were well noted by the TV guys who made special reportage about DJ Skafelnikof further on broadcasted by MTV, Minsk.
